Andrew Charles is a Senior Investment Manager based in Brisbane. He leads IMF Bentham’s Queensland office and manages funding opportunities in Queensland and New Zealand. Andrew is a member of IMF Bentham’s Investment Committee which analyses and determines potential investments. He has led many of the company’s key investments in Australia.
Andrew applies his commercial litigation know-how to identify cases suitable for funding and see them through to successful resolution on behalf of funded parties. He has successfully managed five Representative actions in the Federal Court of Australia.
Andrew joined IMF Bentham in 2007 with almost 20 years’ experience in commercial litigation. He began his career in private practice, advising clients in sport, banking, insolvency, mining and resources and aviation. He was then seconded as in-house counsel to a Japanese trading company based in Sydney, before later moving to Hong Kong to work as an international lawyer.
Andrew has a Bachelor of Laws (Queensland University of Technology).
