Alden is a chartered accountant, an official liquidator, a tax agent and a trustee in bankruptcy.

He was one of the founding principals of national chartered accountancy firm Ferrier Hodgson, after spending 15 years with chartered accounting firms Irish Young & Outhwaite & Pannell Kerr Forster.

Alden is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He is a member of Council and Treasurer of the Royal Automobile Club of WA (Inc) and a non executive director of ASX listed company, Count Financial Limited.

Alden's specific role is to act as mentor to the company secretary.  He is also a member of the audit committee.

Alden plays an active role in the promotion of the company to shareholders, investors, brokers and the media.
