18 May 2007 IMF SUPPORTS ROCKET DOCKET The Federal Court has recently introduced a Fast Track list, which it will trial in Melbourne (www.fedcourt.gov.au/how/practicenotices_vic06.html). The list will enable cases to be heard within 6 months of commencement and for judgments to be delivered within 6 weeks. IMF supports the Fast Track list and all initiatives which enable justice to be delivered in a just, quick and cheap manner.

1 Feb 2007 SONS OF GWALIA The High Court has confirmed that claims of shareholders for misleading and deceptive conduct and a failure to disclose material information against an insolvent company, arising out of the purchase of shares on market, rank equally with the claims of other unsecured creditors. The decision means that the claims IMF is funding in the administrations of Sons of Gwalia and in ION can now proceed on the basis that if the claimants are successful they will be entitled to participate in a dividend from the company on an equal basis with other unsecured creditors.
